Hi Melissa! I’m currently tracing my Lo Monaco line in Casteldaccia and I see you have a Lo Monaco all the way into the 1500’s! Wow! I wonder if/how your Lo Monaco’s may connect to mine? I know Casteldaccia is only a few hundred years (400 I think?)old so they may have been other places as well before that. When I was in Palermo last year I noticed a Pietro Lo Monaco, a repeated name for a couple hundred years in my family, was a part of the Santa Rosalia story… I’m curious where we were before Casteldaccia in the 1800s. That’s all I know so far. Anyway I’d love to see if there’s any connections

Hi Melissa,

Thanks for taking responsibility for Orphaned Profiles. This is a courtesy email to share the After Adopting Orphans FAQ which explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.

If you will be working with any profiles needing GEDCOM cleanup, the AGC tool can help with formatting so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Debi

Hi, Melissa!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
