Rear Adm. Thomas Graves (1680-1755) married 1stly Mary Warne, daughter and heiress of William Warne of Thanckes and 2ndly to Elizabeth Budgell in Exeter, Devon on 30 July 1723[1]. There is a fine memorial to him and his second wife, by Joseph Wilton (1722-1803) in St. James the Great Church, Antony, Cornwall, where he was buried on the 24th December 1755.
Rear Admiral David Graves (1746-1822) is alleged to be his illegitimate son by Jane Harvey, as well as his brother George and sister Mary. David is also said to be the father of three daughters named Franklin. see his will PROB 11/1664/357
