Married John Calvin Coolidge on 04 October 1905. He was to become the thirtieth president of the United States, and Grace was to become the First Lady of the United States from 1923 to 1929 and the Second Lady of the United States from 1921 to 1923.[1]

- The stock market crashes, now know as the official start to the great depression that would last for 10 years. Possibly Coolidge was able to foresee this event and factored it into his decision not to run for president again. His wife implied it was true[7]

- Grace lived twenty four years longer then her husband. Her latter years were spent publishing poems and articles for American Magazine. She became president of the board of the Clark School for the Deaf. She received a gold medal from the National Institute of Social Sciences and was voted one of America's twelve greatest living women. Grace always found the town cemetery in Plymouth where the Coolidge family members are buried as a quiet, special place to remember her family.[6]
