Jonas Gleason is an American Patriot (see sources below)

Jonas was born to Aaron Gleason and Eunice Kenney at Oxford in 1748.[1] He married Lucy Harwood at Leicester in 1773.[2] Jonas and brothers Aaron and Henry were early settlers of the Myrifield Plantation, later incorporated as Rowe, Massachusetts. Jonas and Lucy's children were born there.

Jonas was prominent in religious and civic affairs; he was a deacon, town treasurer, and Revolutionary War militia member.[3]

Revolutionary War Service

Jonas served as a corporal in Massachusetts, under the command of Capt Gideon Chapin (Lexington Alarm) and, as a private, under Captains Lawrence Kemp, and Seth Howard, Col. Leonard and Col. David Wells. His DAR ancestor # is A045437. [4]
