Biography

Angélique Gaudin was born around 1717 in Acadie. Her parents were Gabriel Godin and Andrée Angélique Jeanne. [1]

She married Pierre Part , son of Pierre Part de LaForest and Jeanne Dugas, around 1737. [1].

Their known children were:

  1. Unknown Part (about 1738 – before Apr 9 1766) .
  2. Joseph Part (about 1741 – Sep 1811) .
  3. Olivier Part (about 1746 – about 1810) .
  4. Pierre Paul Part (about 1749 – about Oct 4 1826) .
  5. Marie Part (about 1751 – unknown) .
  6. Francois Part (about 1753 – Feb 22 1795)

Pierre LaForest was in Riviere St. Jean in 1739 with his wife and two children. Nearly all the members of her family were in this census, counted in an area down from Ekoupag Riviere St. Jean.[2]

During the deportations Pierre, Angélique and their family (7 people total) were prisoners at Halifax.[3][4][5]

With his children Joseph, Olivier, Pierre, Marie and an orphan who lived with them, Francois eventually settled in Louisiana. The children were listed on the census of 9 April 1766 taken in Cabahannocer without their parents, so Pierre and Angélique died sometime before that census, not long after their arrival in Louisiana.[6][7]

Children:

Unknown PART ca 1738-/1766
Joseph PART b: ABT 1741
Olivier PART b: ABT 1746
Pierre PART b: ABT 1748 in Acadia
Marie PART b: ABT 1751
Francois PART b: ABT 1753 in Riviere St. Jean, New Brunswick, Canada

Research Notes

No child named Marie Louise (Vivaret) Carriere (abt.1757-1813) listed for Angélique Godin by Karen Theriot Reader.[8] She does not appear in the census of 9 April 1766 at Cabahannocer with the orphaned children of Pierre Part and Angélique Godin.[9]
Parents listed for Marie Louise Vivaret born around 1757 in Illinois by Karen Theriot Reader are Pierre Vivares and Françoise Desnoiers. [10]
According to her biography and this source found in Find A Grave, Marie Louise Vivaret is the daughter of Pierre Vivaret and Françoise Desnoiers. [11]

Gaudin-92 and Gaudin-34 appear to represent the same person because: Same dates of birth and death. Same name. Gaudin-92 was linked as mother of Marie Louise (Vivaret) Carriere (abt.1757-1813). No sources found to confirm this lineage.

Same dates of birth and death for Angelique Gaudin

Her daughter (?) Marie Louise Vivaret is said to be daughter of Francoise Desnoyers at her first marriage...

Could not find any sources that show Marie Louise Vivaret as a child of Angélique Gaudin. Angélique was married only to Pierre Part. Their orphaned children were in the 1766 census in Louisiana. No Marie Louise with them. I agree that Marie Louise should disconnected and Angélique merged with her duplicate Gaudin-34.
