Marie Marguerite Gaudin was born on November 12, 1770 in Sorel, Montreal, Quebec, daughter of Jean Baptiste Gaudin (1739–1796) and Marie Madeleine Carpentier (1747–1813).
Marie (17) married Gabriel Boissy (19) (born on March 17, 1768 in Saint-Hyacinthe, Province of Québec; son of Nicolas Boissy and Angelique Renaud) on January 7, 1788 in Beloeil, Province of Québec. Their children were:
- Marie-Marguerite Boissy (1788–1827)
- Marie-Rosalie Boissy (1790–1847)
- Gabriel Boissy (1794–<1845)
- Marie-Charlotte Boissy (1800–1888)
- Pierre Emanuel Boussey (1805–1893)
