Biography
Honor was born in December 1842 in Kilfearagh, County Clare, Ireland. She was the daughter of John Garvey and Margaret McNamara.
She married James Clancy McMahon in 1868. Witnesses to this marriage were "Ann Garvey" and "John Higgins".
She passed away on 31 January 1882 in Queensland, Australia. [1]
A matching burial record was unable to be located either in Find-a-grave, Billiongraves, Brisbane Cemetery Records or Nudgee Cemetery Records. Southern Downs Cemetery Records (including Warwick) are not available online to search.
Birth
Kilkee Catholic parish records (which covers Kilfearagh civil parish). The parish records start in the late 1830s and are in extremely poor condition, making them difficult to read. The following children for John and Margaret: - Mary, bapt 27 June 1841, died before 1847 - Honor Dec 1842 - Bridget 1844 - Michael 1845 - Mary 1847. Researched by Cindy Wood, 10 May 2022
