Hi,

The Global Cemeteries Project is currently undergoing our member check-in and wanted to verify that you are still active and interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Cemetery Teams? If not, is there a particular Team or area you are interested in participating with? I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!

We use Google Groups for internal project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup for access feel free to submit a join request and we will get that approved as quick as possible. We also ask that members check their follwed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (CEMETERIES) so you don't miss any disucssions in G2G.

Last, but not least, we would like to thank you for all of your contributions to WikiTree and let you konw that any ideas or suggestions for improvement you may have for the Global Cemeteries Project would greatly appreciated!

I look forward to hearing form you soon!

Hi Fleur. Yes, Maria's last name is now correct.
Hi Fleur. We don't have any links to Portuguese India / Goa, unfortunately, but it does seem like those names are very common amongst the de Freitas'.

Hi Fleur,

Thanks for your note. I took a look at your GEDCOM file and it did upload load OK. GEDCOM files are not imported at WikiTree so they do not populate your tree automatically. There are too many differences in the programs which can create the file. Instead, the uploaded GEDCOM file is used to compare and match/reject to existing profiles and to create profiles without having to re-type all your information.

One of our mentors created this visual tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process. It is very detailed but it is not unusual to still have some questions after reviewing it. I'll be ready when you have your next questions.

Hi Fleur,

Do you know where in Portugal your ancestors came from? I have ancestors from Medeira and the Azores.

I hope that you are enjoying WikiTree so far. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi Fleur,

This is a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far?

I see that your GEDCOM loaded OK. Do you have questions about the GEDCOMpare process?

Have the tips in the New Member How-Tos been helpful? Most of us still have some questions after reviewing them.

I'm here to help with issues and questions about how WikiTree works. Click my name to send me a private message or ask in the comment section of my page.

PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when clicking WikiTree email links, you can often find a working version in the public comments on your profile.

Freitas-183 and Freitas-186 do not represent the same person because: They are duplicates but the merge process is crazy complicated and unclear.

Thank you for volunteering. You are now a full member of WikiTree.

Start with the New Member How-To Pages - they are really useful as you add profiles and learn your way around:

Let me know if you require assistance. I am happy to help. After adding my own family and ancestors I have found many cousins and distant ancestors here on WikiTree.
