Emma was born to Timothy and Mary Ann Francis in Coventry Warwick England in 1832 .This reference says she was baptized at the Holy Trinity church in 1851 [1] Since the Victorian records say she married in 1852 it is possible she was baptized before leaving on the journey to Australia. Her father Timothy was a watchmaker in Freeth Street. In 1852. Her sister Mary Ann Francis was baptized at the same time, she was born in 1835. [2]
