Biography
Mary was born in 1798. She passed away in 1887.
On 11 May 1818, Mary Francs singlewoman of the parish and Thomas Womack singleman of the parish married by banns at Bressingham, Norwich, Norfolk. Thomas signed his name, and Mary with a mark. Witnesses were Margaret Womack and Henry ?Rudd.[1]
In the 1851 Census, Thomas (75) and Mary Womack (62) were listed living at Redgrave Green, Redgrave, Suffolk. Thomas's occupation was recorded on the return as Weaver of hemp cloth. Mary's birthplace was recorded as Hastfield, Norfolk, and Thomas's as North Lopham, Norfolk. Also in their home was 14 year old grandson William Read, who was working as a groom. He had been born in Normanston Lowestoft. [2]
