Biography

Mary Magdalena Fox was born October 13, 1764. She was the wife of Christian Morris who left her a widow before May 1808.

Mary Morris is head of family on 1800 census record, there was one male and two females listed on record.[1]

Randolph County, North Carolina Will Bk 3, p. 101, May Term of court 1808: Year's allowance for Mary Morris, widow and relict of Chris. Morris, deceased.

Will Bk 3, p. 166, Feb Court 1810, John Craven and Mary Morris, Adms of Christian Morris to the estate of their interstate. [2]

1810 Census has Mary Morris as head of family in Randolph County, NC, 1 male in household and four females[3]

In 1812, the court divided Christian Morris lands among his eight children: Elizabeth Fox, Barbara, Margaret, Mary Swaford, John, Sarah, Christian and Rebecca. John had been appointed guardian of Sarah, Christian and Rebecca. Note: There isn't any reference to a Catharina only Sarah.[4]
