Biography

Hepzibah Foster was born July 18, 1757 in Maine. She was probably born in Berwick, Maine as her father was the church pastor there. [Maine was part of Massachusetts at that time.] She is the daughter of Jacob Foster and Hepzibah Prentice. ^[1][2]

She married David Rainsford or "Raynesford" on March 7, 1778 in Berwick, Maine [part of Massachusetts at that time]. ^[3] and they resided in Canterbury. ^[1]

Their marriage is also recorded in Canterbury, Connecticut. ^[4]
