Biography
Joseph Julien Fortin was born in 1828. He is the son of Luc Clément Fortin and Marie Angelique Brun.[1] Luc Fortin and Angélique Brun also gave birth to another son called Jules. He was born on the farm in St-Sébastien on July 10, 1828 and was baptized the next day at Iberville. He became a farmer at St-Sébastien and on February 5, 1850 he married Sophie Roy in Henryville.[2] She was Charles Roy’s daughter. Jules Fortin and Sophie Roy had 9 children but we mention only 2 of them here : Georgiana, born in 1865 at St-Sébastien...The other of Jule’s children was Sifroy, born at St-Sébastien on May 6, 1867.
