Lizzie Agnes Fore was born on 25 June 1889^[1] to Andrew Jackson Fore^[2] and Ella (Caldwell) Fore in Mississippi.^[3] She came to Florida with her parents and siblings in the early 1900s.^[4][5] She married Jack P Driggers on 5 Dec 1909 in Sumter County, Florida.^[6]

Together, they had five children:

Fonzie "Peggie" (Driggers) McGee (1914-1989)^[4][8]

Following his death in 1925,^[10] she married Robert Allie Newman on 20 May 1929 in Sumter County.^[11] She and R. A. Newman were divorced in 1948 in HIghlands County, Florida.^[12] She was living in Port St Joe in 1952.^[13] Her obituary^[4] indicates that she married at least one more time to a Mr. DeGraw. Family lore indicates his name was Paul DeGraw and that he died in Pinellas County, Florida, not long after they were married.^[7] No record of that marriage has been found.

Throughout her life, Lizzie worked in the food service industry.^[14][15] Family lore indicates she ran a boarding house in the mid to late 1920s in Wildwood, Sumter County, Florida. It may have been located on the lot she purchased in Wildwood in 1925.^[16] The town, and Florida in general, was experiencing a boom with the coming of the railroad.^[17] The boarding house is said to be where her daughter, Fonzie, met E. S. McGee, a railroad employee who Fonzie married in 1928 with Lizzie's permission.^[18]

Her great-grandchildren called her GranGran, a name eventually used by much of the family.^[19][20]

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Wildwood, Sumter County, Florida, where her family had been members since at least 1909 when her father was elected to serve as a deacon.^[21]

She died in 1971 in Leesburg, Lake County, Florida,^[22] and is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Wildwood, Sumter County, Florida.^[23] Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, Florida, handled the arrangements. Services were held at the First Baptist Church, Wildwood, Florida, with Rev Claud McAdams officiating.^[24] In 1981, her daughter Peggie had grave markers placed at the head and foot of her grave.^[25]
