Biography
Thomas Joseph Flynn was born on 22.1.1896 in Yalata, South Australia, Australia to parents Thomas Joseph and Eileen (Ellen) Flynn (nee Hartnett).
World War I
Thomas served in World War I under service number 4603. He enlisted at Blackboy Hill, Western Australia on 11.11.1915 and had previously served with the 84th Rifles. He was given the rank of private and placed with the 35th Depot, transferring to the 48th Battasllion in April 1916. He was wounded in action in France on 6.8.1916 with a gunshot wound to his left arm. He also suffered pneumonia. He was made a Lance Corporal on 12.7.1917.
Marriage
Thomas married Ada Ella May Romano in 1924 in Boulder, Western Australia, Australia.
Children
Thomas and Ada had 6 children - John, Alfred, Eileen, Keith, Patricia and William.
Death
Thomas died on 20.1.1967 in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, Australia, aged 70 years. He was buried at Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Western Australia.
