I am writing you about your Wilhelm Strubb/Stroup/Stroop. I am tracking my maternal 5GF, John Stroop (1776-1855), (Ohio Co, Virginia (now Marshall Co, W. Va.). I believe his father was Conrad Stroup/Stroop (1740-1786), (Ohio Co, Virginia (now Marshall Co, W. Va.). In searching possible links, I see that your Conrad Stroup’s father, (1740-1786), (Ohio Co, Virginia (now Marshall Co, W. Va.), is Wilhelm (William) Strubb (Stroup). I read your biography for Wilhelm, and I believe we may have the same link there. My 5GF is John Stroop (1776-1855); my 4GF is Adam Stroop (1807-1890); my 3GF is Wilson Conrad Stroop (1840-1911); my GGF is Rutherford Birchard Hayes Stroop (1877-1951), and my GF is Edward Clyde Stroop (1899-1987).
