Biography

Margaret, daughter of Richard de Arundel and Elizabeth de Bohun, was born about 1383-1385, was a legatee in her father's 1393 will, married before 1408 to Sir Roland Lenthall and had two sons. She died shortly before 5 May 1423.^[1]

Born: Between 1483 and 1485.

Variously said to be aged 30 and 32 in 1415 (likely age 32)

Co-heiress to her brother, Thomas Arundel Earl of Arundel in 1415.

Children:

1. Edmund Lenthall, Esq. Born 17 June 1420. Died 18 April 1447. No issue.
2. Henry Lenthall, Esq. No issue.

Following the death of her brother Thomas FitzAlan, Earl of Arundel and Surrey, without heirs of his body, the title and estates of Arundel went to his cousin John FitzAlan, Lord Mautravers, while the estates of Surrey were divided among his three surviving sisters: Elizabeth duchess of Norfolk, wife of Gerard Usflete, ' chivaler,' Joan de Beauchamp, lady de Bergevenny, and Margaret wife of Rowland Leynthale, 4 chivaler, ... ^{[2] [3]}

No living descendants. On the death of her son Edmund in 1447, the Arundel inheritance reverted to the heirs of her sisters, Elizabeth, Duchess of Norfolk, and Joan, Lady Bergavenny.

Died: Shortly before 5 May 1423 (date of writ).
