Biography

Elijah Fisher was born at Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts), on 16 Jul 1793, the son of Elijah Fisher and Jerusha (Keen) Fisher.[1]

Elijah Fisher died on 18 Jun 1853,[2] with his age at his death reported as 61 years, 11 months, and he is buried at the Boothby Family Cemetery with his parents and his sister Mary. (The burial record identifies the cemetery as the "Livermore Ctr" cemetery,[3] but his stone is in the Boothby Family Cemetery.)[4]

Research Note

The 1928 Livermore history says that he was unmarried,[5] but in the 1850 census, he is living at Livermore at age 57 with a Sarah Fisher, age 51.[6] This might be his sister, Sarah Fisher (born in 1798), but the 1928 history says that she married Moses Berry.[5]
