Biography
David/Guy was born in 1880. He was the son of David Doak Finley and Belinda Ellen Johnson. He served in the US Navy in WW1, and later in the Naval Reserves. He married Bertha Ernestine Griffith and had one child, Charles Lyman Finley. He worked as a chef in the Grand Island Nebraska transcontinental railway station's Koehler Hotel, in Kansas City Missouri's Muehlebach Hotel; and at the Oriental Hotel in Dallas, Texas, where he was murdered in 1924. He was referred to by nieces and nephews as 'Uncle Guy'.
