Biography

Florence (Finley) Loyd is related to a US President.

Florence was born in New Bloomfield, Missouri in 1906. She was the daughter of Julius Finley and Maude Rice. She graduated from Southwest Missouri State College (now Missouri State University) in 1933, and was a public school teacher in Callaway County most of her adult life, in New Bloomfield, and in Auxvasse after marriage in 1940. Florence, like her sister Gertrude, was both a Finley family genealogist and a teacher. She had one son, who preceded her in death. She passed away in 1996.
