Research Notes

There is evidence that Job was married at least twice: There is a 1758 deed of Job and Mary Felton in Chowan Co. NC. And there are marriage records for the marriage of Job with Elizabeth Speer in 1786 as well as her mention in his will. Most of Job's children (except John) were born between 1742 and 1782, so they couldn't have been Elizabeth's children.

It is unclear what the marriage dates of 1738 and 1754 refer to. The same dates are listed in his mother's profile.

The name Wise is probably not the maiden name of Job's last wife, Elizabeth (married 1786), since daughter Sarah "Sally" (born 1746) received that name as a middle name. More research is needed.
