Biography

The daughter of Abraham Fegley and Maria (Fillman) Fegley, Anna Fegley was born in Douglass Township, Pennsylvania^[1] in 1824.

She married Rudolph Stetler, marrying in Skippack Township, Pennsylvania on March 2, 1849^{[citation needed]} and having four children together. All of her children were born deaf and mute and at least one was also born blind; all of her children spent years in institutions and all died in institutions. Anna and her family made their home in Pottsgrove Township, Pennsylvania, where her husband worked as a shoemaker.^[2][3][4] By 1880, Anna and her family lived in Norristown, Pennsylvania.^[5]

Anna Stetler passed away at the age of 67 and is buried at Pottstown Cemetery East in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.^[6]
