Lucille was born in 1920. She was the daughter of Joseph Farmer and Nellie Watkins. She married William R. Russell in 1946. Together, they had three daughters. Mr. Russell passed away in 2015. Lucille followed him in death the following year on 28 Apr 2016.
Mary "Lucille" Russell, 95, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016. Born in Marion Co., KY., she was the former Lucille Farmer, a homemaker, a member of St. Martha Catholic Church and an avid University of Louisville Cardinals fan.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, William Rollin "Red" Russell. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Turner (James) and Marilynn "Faye" Russell; granddaughters, Dawn Anderson, Laura Sizer (Tom), and Claire Mattern (Matt); step-granddaughters, Ann Slider, Tracy Turner, and Jennifer Turner; and great-grandchildren, Will, Hayden, Paige, and Meredith.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2016 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Ln. with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery, Campbellsville, KY.
