Ebenezer, the son of Freeman and Mercy (birth surname unknown) Ellis was born at Rochester in the Massachusetts Bay Colony on February 7, 1695/6.[1] He married Charity Swain in Nantucket at age 25[2] and they had six known children born there.[3]
