Biography

Marian was born 10 Mar 1906 in Windsor, Sonoma, California, USA to Elias Elkerton and Ida Alice Wygant Elkerton.^[1]

In 1910, Marian was living with her parents and her brothers Milo (15) and George (7), sisters Maude (13), Beulah (10), and Bessie (2,) in the West Windsor precinct of Windsor, Sonoma, California.^[2]

By 16 Jan 1920, the family had moved north to the Lake Earl precinct of Crescent City, Del Norte, California. In the home were Marian's parents and her sisters Beulah and Bessie, and her brother George. Also in the home was her older widowed sister, Francis Rubish. Francis had two small children.^[3]

Sometime around 1925, Marian married Henry Parsons. On 11 Apr 1930, Henry and Marian were living on Third Street in Crescent City, Del Norte, California. They had three children, Wayne (5) and Shirley (2 7/12), and Kenneth (0).^[4]

By 11 Apr 1940, the family, now with four children, Wayne (15), Shirley (12), Kenneth (10), and Gary (4) ,had moved to L Street in Crescent City.^[5]

Marian passed away in 20 Nov 1984 in Crescent City, Del Norte, California. She is buried next to her husband, Henry, in the IOOF Cemetery (Old South section), a part of the Crescent City Cemetery in Crescent City.^[6][7][8][9]
