William was born in 1868 in Hanborough, Oxfordshire[1]. He was the illegitimate son of Ann Eaton.
Marriage
William Long and Thirza Oldaker were married after banns in Church Hanborough, Oxfordshire on 24th December 1889[2]. They were bachelor and spinster and both living in Hanborough at the time. William was 22, a labourer and the son of William Long, a labourer, Thirza was 18 and the daughter of Elias Oldaker who was also a labourer. The witnesses to the marriage were Henry Long and Elizabeth Buckingham[3].
