Group Captain Charles Eaton OBE AFC was a senior officer and aviator in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), and later served as a diplomat. During the First World War he had served in the British Army and saw action on the Western Front before transferring to the Royal Flying Corps.
Charles Eaton was born on 21st December 1895 in Lambeth, Surrey, England, United Kingdom. He was the son of William Eaton, a butcher, and his wife Grace Martin. [1]
Charles married Beatrice Godfrey on 11th January 1919 in St Thomas' Church, Shepherd's Bush, London. [2]
Aged almost 84 years, he passed away on 12th November 1979 in Frankston, Victoria. [3] He was survived by his wife and two sons.
