I have researched the Fulham family of Compton in Surrey extensively and their descendants. I have a fair bit of information, mostly from primary sources. I haven’t managed to find any birth, death or will record for John Fulham of Hope in Dinmore.

I also haven’t found any record of a Francis Fulham in that family, I’m afraid The Fulham Genealogy makes an assumption not backed up by fact. Francis doesn’t appear to be a family name of this branch of Fulham. I am interested in the descendants and ancestors of the marriage between Mary Fulham and John Turner of Compton and am in contact with descendants. I am a Russian speaker and always happy to try and help. A little rusty now due to little practice but happy to give it a go.

Hi Ann,

Thanks for your contributions to Puritan Great Migration (PGM) project profiles.

Like all WikiTree projects we check in with team members periodically to find out about their continued interest in the project. Would you please respond by February 12, 2024, to let us know about your interest:

1. Would you like to continue as a PGM project team member?;

2. Do you have any suggestions for PGM Project priorities in the next year (optional)?;

3. Do you have interest in taking a more active role within the PGM project, and if so, what you might be interested in doing (optional)?

Please respond to this comment on your profile, or if you'd like, send a private message to either Bobbie (Madison) Hallor S (Hill) Willson.

Thanks for all you do for PGM and WikiTree!

Hi Ann,

Thanks for creating Whitten-2281. Nice job.

I notice that you added our admin account as the manager. How come? Maybe I am missing something you have coordinated with the team.

If it's just that you don't want to manage the profile, you can just remove yourself. That leaves it for anyone else to adopt.

Hi Chris ,

It was one of the profiles created for the Wikitree Challenge week for Roberta D’Estes. Any profiles that get created are then passed over to admin so they can pass onto the guest. I think that's how it works. I assume having them passed to admin means that Mindy can then pass them onto the correct person.

Hi, Ann. I noted the date changes you made to the profile of Thomas Hoskyns. Thank you. However you did not provide the source that validates the changes. Could you please provide same, especially as Thomas is pretty short of any sources at all. Thanks, C

Slowly getting all the sources sorted. I have some on paper so need to find the online material. I’ve been trawling through wills and still have some more refreshing of memory to do. I am transcribing as soon as I can. Give me a few days. The Alderseys are in the tree I’ve been researching on and off for the last twenty years the microfiche age for the majority of it so got to spend some time finding online refs apart from wills. I have Sir Timothy Lowe’s portrait here which had been passed down through the family, identified as such by the College of Arms. So Lowe and associated families are of interest although I am going down a few rabbit holes at the moment!

I’ve added a couple of sources, I need to tidy those up so not such a long url. There are tons of sources at Surrey History Centre where I’ve spent a vast amount of time in in the past. I’ll have to try and get there again when possible. Unfortunately not many are digitised. Plenty of source info there though. 1562 might be a little early for his birth looking at the livery fee.

Hi C.

I've checked the will of his father Charles Hoskins/Hoskyns and daughter Anne was married pre the will being written in 1597 so presumably she would be around 20 then which gives her birthdate as 1577 ish, her first husband had already died and she is Anne Moulton in the will. Youngest daughter or other daughter Marie/Mary already married.

Hi, Getting on ok. Records I know well but editing profiles has been a learning curve.

One thing with profiles is that it would be good to have a baptism date box as well as a birth date box. Anyway getting to grips with it all now. It's all very American🤣 but is much better for accuracy than other sites

Hello A,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

Thank you. I uploaded my gedcom to do a comparison and virtually none of the people I have are on WikiTree’. I have a few notables. The majority of my research has been from primary sources, I haven’t looked at some of it for about 20 years and a lot is on old fashioned paper so I’m trying to get the internet links for sources for those that are on the internet. I have a few will transcripts that I did years ago and have uploaded a couple. I’ll have a look at the projects, still getting used to how things work!
