Vermont inhabitants asking for land
That whereas your Excellency has been graciously pleased to issue your proclamation on the seventh day of February last past informing us of your being authorized by the Crown of Great Britain to dispose of the unlocated land in the Province to those who wish to settle them. And your Memorialists inhabitants of the United States of Americas being desirous of becoming adventurers in a new Country and inhabitants of said province. The condition being such as will enable them to settle those lands immediately. Humbly move your Excellency to grant a Township of land to be situated on the ____ to be held in free and common forage, with all the reservations mentioned in said proclamation and that your Excellency would be graciously pleased to issue your warrant to a proper officer as in consistent with the c____ of Government to survey said land. As in duty bound your Memorialists will every pray.
