This death is also reported by the Queensland Government confirming that Hugo had 2 wives named Ann.

The Queensland birth register also shows Mary Beatrice Duriety born to Ann Scanlan and Hugh William Duriety 8th March 1870. It seems yet another misspelling of the Durietz/Du Rietz name, as she doesn't show up as being born in another state and Mary Beatrice Du Rietz definitely died in Queensland.[9][10]
