Hugo William DURIETZ was an architect who designed, among other things, the Queensland Heritage listed Surface Hill Uniting Church in Gympie, Queensland.[1][2]

Birth Registration #2597/1857 V18572597 142A of John William Durietz, child of Hugh Wilhelm (father) and Anne (mother), date 30th of December 1857.[4]
Death Registration #3098/1859 (year) of ANN DURIETZ , child of John (father) and Ann (mother), date 12th of May 1859, registration district: Gayndah, New South Wales, Australia.[5]
This death is also reported by the Queensland Government confirming that Hugo had 2 wives named Ann.
Ann DURIETZ died in 1859. The Queensland death index (Reg#1859/C157) also lists father as John Beazley, mother as Ann King, with the registration district as being , country, Queensland, Australia.[6]
Hugo William DURITZ and Anne SCANLAN were married on 21st of January 1862. The Queensland marriage index (Reg#1862/B220) also lists the registration district as being , Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.[7]

The Queensland birth register also shows Mary Beatrice Duriety born to Ann Scanlan and Hugh William Duriety 8th March 1870. It seems yet another misspelling of the Durietz/Du Rietz name, as she doesn't show up as being born in another state and Mary Beatrice Du Rietz definitely died in Queensland.[9][10]

Hugo William DU RIETZ died at Gympie, Queensland on the 9th of August 1908, and was buried in the Gympie Cemetery. The Queensland death index also lists father as Frederick Du Rietz , mother as "Villa" Borge , with the registration district as being , country, Queensland, Australia.[13]
