Biography

Jehan Dumoys (or Dumays) married Marguerite Berservoyse on 27 November 1555 in Autretot[1].

His parents are unknown. The parish registers from Autretot do not go back further than 1546, several years after his baptism, and his parents are not named in his marriage record. He is not the son of Pierre Dumoys and Guyonne Hamelot, who were married in 1617 in Brittany, at least 80 years too late to be Jehan's parents[2]

Biographie

Demers dit Dumay dit Dumets dit Dumoys-2 and Dumoys-2 appear to represent the same person because: These are the same person. The one with multiple last names was not correctly entered with other last names in the other last name space

These two profiles should not be merged while the issue of Dumoys-2's parents is not resolved. Form this source: http://www.fichierorigine.com/dossiers/260017.pdf, it is clear that thorough research in Normandy yielded no known parents for Jean Dumays. Since the registers go back only to 1546, where do the names of parents of someone born in the 1520s come from?
Demers dit Dumay dit Dumets dit Dumoys-2 and Dumoys-2 are not ready to be merged because: It's unclear what the last name / surname of the merge should be, so I'm postponing this merge.
