Biography

Josephte (Ducharme) Gariepy was a Canadian First Peoples and member of the Metis Nation.

Josephte Ducharme was born about 1805 probably in Rupert's Land, Hudson's Bay^[1], daughter of Antoine Charon (1777–1850) and Josephte Villebrun (~1785–<1825).

Josephte (13) married Joseph Rochon (13) (born about 1805) in 1819.^[2] Their daughter was:

• Josephte Rochon (~1819– ).

Josephte (19) married Louis Marie Gariepy (48) (born on July 3, 1777 in Saint-Charles-de-Lachenaie, L'Assomption, Province de Québec, ; son of Bonaventure Gariepy and Marie Reine LaLonde) on August 15, 1825 in St-Boniface, Manitoba, Canada.^[2][3] Their children were:
