Catherine DODIER (1634 - 1673) [Carpin #101][1][2]

Daughter of Pascal Dodier and Marie Belhomme, Catherine Dodier was baptized around 1638. He was a native of Igé's Saint-Martin parish located in Séez diocese and ancient Perche province.[3][4]

She immigated to Canada with her parents and their two other children about 1644.[1][5] Some sources indicate that her father first immigrated alone in 1632 or1634.

In a first marriage, she married Guillaume Isabelle vers 1648 aux Trois-Rivières.[3][6]

In a second marriage, she married Pierre LePelle, native of Bouage in ancient Saintonge province, around 1654 in an unknown Canada location[7][8]

Dodier-19 and Dodier-30 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same general birth year fichier says 1638, but other sources may differ), same birth location. Same death date and location. No other conflicting information.

The first marriage at ten years of age seems a trifle young to me ... and bearing a child at eleven or younger? Perhaps her birth date should be pushed back, as she appears to have aged five years between the 1666 and 1667 censuses.

Marriage date ranges quite a bit and is uncertain status according to Fichier Origine, PRDH & perche-quebec.com. Need footnoted citation to show if 1654-02-26 certain is indeed the case.
