William was born about 1863. He was the son of Simon Dobson and Anonymous Yeager.
William and his bride moved to Kilwinning in 1906 to farm. They had six children: Frank, Charles, Caroline, Maud, Ellen and Mavis.
In the 1926 Canada Census William and Amelia are living on their farm in Leask. He is 68 and she 58 [1] His entry notes he became a naturalized Canadian in 1907.
He passed away about 1926.
