Biography

Joseph was born about 1855 in Laketown Twnshp, Carver Co, MN (present day Victoria). Son of Carl Diethelm and Elizabeth Fessler. He passed away in 1859 & is buried in St. Victoria Catholic Church Cemetery in Victoria, MN.

Research notes

His headstone shows May 6, 1859 DOD, & an inscription that might read "age 4 (?) years. Son of Carl and Elizabeth".

Can't find birth or death records for Joseph, just a few Diethelm family trees, all with contradictory info. His parents named 3 of their boys Joseph. When one died, they used the name again, until one finally survived. Used my best guess here, but can't guarantee this is accurate either.-pq
