Preliminary information added by Dewey-960 on 5.4.2024:- According to 'Tammy Staley Family Tree' on Ancestry Esther was the wife of Enoch Shepherd, with a source of https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/15048561/enoch-shepherd.

The information (no sources) on Esther is that she was born at Westfield MA in 1744 and died there in 1794.

The interest in Esther is that she is allegedly the 6th great grandparent of Tammy. According to WikeTree she is the 2nd great-granddaughter of Thomas Dewey The Settler (Dewey-54).

DNA evidence supports this structure as Tammy is a DNA match to Dewey-960, almost certainly via Thomas Dewey.

Information supporting the family structure in Westfield is that her husband Enoch Shepard was born there (in 1742), as were 5 of her 6 siblings, according to WikiTree. One of her siblings, Sarah, also married a Shepard (William), both of whom were born and died in Westfield; they had 9 children, the youngest, Henry was born in 1782, in Westfield.

Esther's brother Moses had 7 children; they inherited Dewey genes from their father and also their mother, whose grandmother was Elizabeth Dewey, born 1676 in Westfield.
