Biography
Nicolas Desmares or Des Mares was the husband of Marie Bocquet, born before about 1635, based on the birth of their son Robert Desmares or Des Mares at Paris (Saint-Étienne) by around 1651 based on Robert's age at the 1681 census in Nouvelle-France.
Nicolas and Marie were living in Paris in about 1651 when their son Robert was baptised at Paris (Saint-Étienne-du-Mont) - and they were considered to have been still alive when Robert later married Élisabeth Richaume at Repentigny in Nouvelle-France on 23 Jul 1682.
