Biography

Noted Loyalist researcher McGillivray has written a few notes from Thomas Davy's life in Canada, verbatim as follows:^[1]

• 1) Witnessed the marriage of Hannah Davy^[2] to Cornelius Brass on 31 Aug 1790.
• 2) Petitioned for land as the son of Peter Davy U.E. on 9 Nov 1797
• 3) 19 June 1806 Thomas purchased from [brother] John Davy^[3] half of Lot 25, Con 5 of Ernestown which had originally been granted to Peter Davy.
• 4) The nominal return of the Second Battalion of the First Regiment, Addington Militia taken 4 June 1830 lists Thomas Davy age 58
