Biography

Sophia Davy (Davey) was born in Ernestown, Upper Canada, to John Davy and Sophia Hoffnagle in 1797 or 1798 and christened there 1 July 1798. In 1816 she married Ira Billings. In 1820 they were in Rossie, St. Lawrence County, New York. They were in New York in 1824 but by 1828 they were farming in Sydney, Hastings County, Canada West. They had seven children. Sophia died there in 1849 and was buried in White's Cemetery, Bayside, Hastings County.

Note

"Ernestown Township" may refer to its largest town, Bath.
