I, Pernina P. Horn, wife of Joab Horn, of the County of Sumner and Stateof Tennessee, make and publish the following as my last Will andTestament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.
Item 1. I give and devise to my husband, Joab Horn, for and during hisnatural life, my tract or parcel of land and improvements thereon,situated in the County of Sumner State of Tennessee lying between theLouisville and Nashville Railroad, and Dobbins Pike and bounded on theSouth by the Douglass Pike containing by estimation thirty acres, beingthe same land upon which myself and husband now reside.
Item 2. At the death of my said husband, I will and devise to my son,Columbus C. Horn in fee Six acres of said land to be run off to him, soas to give him the residence and appendant buildings, including the well.Said, Six acres I desire should be so set apart to him as to include saidimprovements by running the line in such manner as will throw his land ina good shape and make it appropriate for the enjoyment of saidimprovements, at the same time doing as little damage to the remainder ofsaid land as is possible. The remainder of said land, at the death of myhusband, I will and desire to my sons Joel E. Horn and Rufus E. Horn thesame to be equally divided between them in fee. The devise made inin(rpt) this clause I wish to take effect and vest upon my death subjecthowever to the life estate of my said husband Joab Horn.
Item 3. I give and bequeath to my son Rufus E. Horn my Melonedum. I alsobequeath to my son Columbus C. Horn my old family bureau, the same beingdesignate by glass Knobs and without looking glass.
This 13th day of July 1878.

A paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Mrs.Pernina P. Horn dec'd. was this day produced in open Court for probateand duly proven by the oaths of N. A. Stratton one of the subscribingwitnesses thereto when the same was ordered recorded as said last Willand Testament of Pernina P. Horn dec'd.
