Biography

Elizabeth was born about 1721 in The Hamlet of Ipswich, the daughter of John Dane and his wife Martha, whose maiden name is unknown. She was baptized July 16, 1721 in The Hamlet Church.

On December 25, 1742, Elizabeth and Nathaniel Knowlton published their marriage intention in Ipswich, Massachusetts Bay. Elizabeth's family name is given as "Dean" in these records.

Elizabeth is mentioned on January 22, 1759 in the probate of her father's estate.

She passed away September 14, 1798 in Hamilton, Massachusetts. (The Hamlet was set off from Ipswich and became the town of Hamilton.)
