Carl Sigismund Dahms has roots in the region now known as Brandenburg, Germany.
Carl Sigismund, son of Johann Wilhelm Ludwig Dahms and Bertha Luise Althoff,[1] was born 8 May 1851 in Berlin, Brandenburg, Preußen[1] (now in Germany). His parents had him baptized there 25 May 1851 at Sankt Georgen Kirche, a Lutheran church.[1][2]
Carl Sigismund died 10 December 1852[3]—the third of four siblings who died within two weeks of each other.[4][5][6] He was buried 14 December 1852 in Berlin.[3]
