Biography

Persis Cutting was born on 24 Jan 1780 in Shrewsbury, Worcester, Massachusetts, the daughter of Josiah Cutting and Persis Glazier.[1][2]

Asa Boynton and Persis Cutting were married on 4 May 1803 at Holden, Worcester, Massachusetts.[3]

Asa and Persis had at least the following children recorded at Pelham:[4]

  • Phebe, b. 26 Oct 1803 in Pexton
  • Silas 2nd, b. 29 jan 1809 in Pexton
  • Mary Ann Boynton Thayer, 30 July 1815 in New York
  • Ebenezer Boynton, b. 3 March 1817 in Virginia
  • Maria Boynton Way, b. 23 Nov 1818 in Virginia
  • Marinda, b. 19 Oct 1820 in Virginia
  • Asa Boynton Jr., 7 Jan 1825 in Virginia

Persis died on 26 Aug 1854 at Amherst, Hampshire, Massachusetts, and is buried at the Quabbin Park Cemetery, Ware, Hampshire, Massachusetts, USA.
