Are you descended from Caroline Bowne Smith Carpenter or related on the Carpenter side?
I am not related at all (7th cousin twice removed). I was just helping clear up some pending merges.
Please know that in the location fields, Sweden should either be spelled in English or Swedish, anything else will create a location error for someone to fix later on. This might be a useful link to check out; https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Sweden_Project_-_Name_and_Location_Fields

Have you considered participating in one of WikiTree's Connect-A-Thons? It's an opportunity to add new profiles, whether or not they are family members. The next one will run from Friday, April 22nd to Monday, April 25th. I encourage you to sign up in the G2G forum registration post (https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1392037) and add another badge to your collection.
I want to personally invite you to join the Mid-Atlantic Team because I see you have family roots in New York. If you are interested in participating, you can sign up in the G2G forum registration post (https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1392037) and add another badge to your collection. Hope you'll consider joining the fun!
By the way, I see that one of your lines is Van Vleck. My nephew's daughter in California married a Van Vleck. I don't know how common that surname is, but it would be interesting to know if our families were connected.
Thank you for joining us! I wanted to check in with you to see how things are going. How do you like WikiTree so far? Have the tips in the New Member How To Pages been helpful or have they left you with questions?

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.
Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
I’m going to suggest that the New Netherland Settlers project might fit your current research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.
Please take your time. Accuracy is so much more important than speed on WikiTree. And please add locations, dates, and at least one reliable source to each profile, particularly any pre-1700s profile, before you leave it. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).
Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.
:)

P.S. You might already know this, but Van Vleck was spelled different ways in the 1700s. Try searching for Van Vliek, Van Vleek, VanVleek, etc. Whatever you can think of. You can't imagine what they did with my grandmother's maiden name, Van Schoonhoven! I have a feeling that you are a Nieuw Amsterdam person, too. If not, please find another project that catches your eye.
:)
I am pleased to welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.
It is best to start with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration. Have a look at our Sources page it is also helpful.
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.
See you in the branches.
