It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Southern Colonies Project. As we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.
We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. If this is the case for you, please let us know.
If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.
Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.

On behalf of the US Southern Colonies Project leaders, I am doing a six-month check-in with members to see what aspects of the project interest them most.
1) We would like to learn the number of contributions you have made in the last two months (May and April) to Southern Colonies?
2) We would like to know if you have joined other Southern Colonies Subprojects, such as Southern Pioneers Project. Or have you worked on other subprojects?
3) Your activity in Southern Pioneers Project.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. Project FAQ.
Based on your contributions, I recommend US Southern Colonies Project leaders Paula J and Mags Gaulden or South Carolina Project part of US_history, leader is Paula J
or use the List Pre-1700 Projects to review other possibilities. Read the goals and tasks of the projects and join those which are a good fit.

Here is that link you shared with me by email from FamilySearch. If you scroll down the page on that link you will see a on the bottom right of that page, Document Information with a down arrow and when you click on that arrow, this is the cut and paste source citation you can use.
"United States Census, 1840," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XHBN-X9X : 24 August 2015), Philip Cox, Harbins, Lumpkin, Georgia, United States; citing p. 272, NARA microfilm publication M704, (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), roll 45; FHL microfilm 7,045.
This is a very good citation to use as it is available for anyone to click on and see the same information.
Thanks, Cindy
You've been a member for about a week so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions? Most of us have questions after all that information!
I want to help! Click my name, send me a private message or ask in the comment section of my page. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.
