After three weeks of continual sickness death yesterday morning ended the suffering of Mrs. Charlotte Cook Hale, one of the oldest residents of Star Valley. Mrs Hale was born in Chichester, England. At an early age she was converted to the faith of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and with her parents immigrated to Utah, where in 1866 she was united in marriage to Areot L. Hale. She fulfilled an honorable mission to the "Muddy" and in 1887 moved to Star Valley where she has since resided, being one of the oldest settlers here. Mrs Hale was the mother of nine children, seven of whom survive her and were at her bedside when the end came.
The children are: Fred A. Hale of New Plymouth Idaho, B. W. Hale of Afton, Morris J. Hale of Afton, Lottie Hunter of Emmett, Idaho, Mary L Sharp of Portland Oregon, Lucille Osmond, Afton and Mrs Louis A. Call of Bancroft Idaho.
