Hi Clyde,

Please do not create pre-1700 profiles without valid sources, names and dates. See this page: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles

Clyde, Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.

The Sweden project seems to fit your ancestors. Click the link to read how to join.

Please refer to the new recommended sources for Pre-1700’s.Cite Reliable sources These need researched sources for the ancestors. Either Books, or internet links, which help prove your ancestor's life.

For questions, just ask!

Hi!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Clyde,

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. That's awesome. Our GEDCOM process is a bit different than what might be used to on other sites. We have some great help pages to make your experience go more smoothly:

Hi Clyde,

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the bit tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll see a Volunteer option on your profile page. Click that and leave us a short message about your genealogical interests. A Greeters Project volunteer will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.

Shirley
