Biography

Edward Coles Jr was born on 26 Mar 1837 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, United States. He was the son of Edward Coles and Sally Roberts. Edward married Bessie Elizabeth Campbell, and together they had at least two children that lived into adulthood. He was a lawyer, and President of the Philadelphia Club. Edward passed away on 14 Sep 1906 while vacationing in Bar Harbor, Hancock County, Maine, when he was thrown from his carriage by frightened horses and struck a telegraph pole.
