Mary Ann Cockerill (married name Glassford) was born in 1852 in Richmond, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Elizabeth Cokerill and James Cockerill.[1]
She was baptised at St Stephen's, Richmond, on 25 April 1852.[2]
She married David Glassford in 1873 in Victoria, Australia.[3] Their children were:[citation needed]
- Emily Jane Glassford (1874–1874)
- Charles James Glassford (1877–1938)
- Ethel May (Glassford) Von Bastion (1882–1974)
- Alfred Henry Glassford (1887–1910)
- Elizabeth Grace Glassford (1890–1955)
Mary Ann died in 1928 in Malvern, Victoria, aged 77 years.[4]
Research notes
Mary's marriage index record says she was from West Australia. All other evidence disagrees with that.
