Biography

I have been interested in family history since I was a teenager. My mother whose maiden name is BASTIAN was born in Perth, Western Australia and her heritage is Irish, English, Welsh and Scottish, two of her great grandfather’s were from Cornwall. My father whose surname is COCHRANE was born in London, England and he has Irish, Scottish, English and German ancestry, he migrated to Australia in the late 1950s.

All of my profiles have been individually researched and entered one at a time, not by gedcom files, so please do not reformat my profiles even if your intentions are well meaning. On many occasions, I have had to go back and redo the whole profile as there was nothing new that was added to the profile that was relevant. There are plenty of other profiles on Wikitree that could do with some tender loving care that have no sources or are orphaned.

At present, familysearch.org website does not have all the Census records, ie 1921 Census UK, 1939 Register UK & 1950 USA, so please leave my entries as is which I have meticulously researched from Ancestry and Find my Past.

Please DO NOT LINK my profiles to family search BDMs which are readily available on free government websites for Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand. It would be better to post a message on the actual profile and I can make adjustments.

Formatting is often a matter of personal taste, and I like my profiles to be transparent and easy to follow, unlike many profiles you see on Wikitree which often look like a tangled mess.

"Pedigree Resource Files" at FamilySearch are not official records. These consist of user generated family trees submitted by individuals and rarely have sources or have incorrect sources attached. Please use caution when relying on them.
